Superior North Volleyball Club’s mission is to support our athletes and coaches in their pursuit of excellence in volleyball. SNVC staff provides high level technical skills training and tactical instruction in a positive learning environment that fosters personal growth, knowledge and skill development, good sportsmanship and a passion for the game of volleyball. We strive to create a culture of respect, integrity, compassion, kindness, positivity, and teamwork so that our athletes become finer, stronger, and happier youths who will grow to be responsible citizens of our community.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must be currently registered members of SNVC, have played in SNVC for a minimum of two years, be a member in good standing, and are in their graduating year of high school. Successful applicants will only be eligible to receive this scholarship once.
HOW TO APPLY/REQUIREMENTS
- Complete the SNVC Scholarship Application Form.
- Write a personal essay (maximum of two pages) outlining how being a volleyball athlete and a member of SNVC has helped to shape the person you are today and how these experiences, connections and/or shared values will inspire your continued volleyball journey both on and off the
court. - Provide two letters of reference (i.e. volleyball coach, high school teacher, etc.) and ensure your references include their name, contact information, length of time they have known you, and tangible reasons why they believe you are deserving of a scholarship.
Note: These letters provide the Scholarship Selection Committee with the opportunity to learn another perspective of you and your contribution to the community. Please select references carefully. - Provide letter(s) of acceptance to the proposed program of study in a post-secondary education program.
Note: Post-secondary education includes universities and colleges, as well as trade and vocational schools.

SCHOLARSHIP SELECTION
Applications will be reviewed by a Scholarship Selection Committee formed by SNVC Board members. Prior to granting a scholarship, the successful recipient must provide proof of registration and acceptance from a post-secondary institution.
SCHOLARSHIPS TO BE AWARDED
SNVC scholarship(s) will be awarded annually in the amount of $500.00. The number of scholarships awarded will be based on the availability of Club funds.
