Last weekend, the 14U Superior North Aurora team kicked off their season at the 2026 St. Patrick’s High School Junior Girls Volleyball Festival, and it was a strong start for this group.
Coached by Cayleigh Fossum, Sylvie Lemoine, and Lola Milohnic, the athletes competed with energy and determination, showing growth with every match. As their first tournament of the season, it was an important opportunity to gain experience, build chemistry, and set the tone for the months ahead. The team represented Superior North Volleyball Club with pride and a great attitude throughout the weekend.
Head Coach Cayleigh Fossum shared, “This weekend was an amazing weekend for our girls at the St. Pats tournament here in town. As our first tournament of the season, it was a successful weekend full of hustle, learning, and fun memories together as a team. We can’t wait to get back on the court and apply everything we’ve learnt while preparing for our next tournament.”
A big thank you to Kim Fossum and Steve Shonosky for stepping in to coach a few games and support the team. Their help means so much and truly reflects the strength of our club community.
With their first tournament complete, Aurora is excited to get back in the gym, continue building their skills, and prepare for the Burgarski Cup in March before Provincials in April. This is just the beginning for this group, and we cannot wait to see what they accomplish next.
